Register online through the SLSA Hub. Select Fingal Beach SLSC as your club.

Complete Proficiency

For patrol members, complete your swim proficiency assessment (200m in 5min or 400m in 9min).

Pick up your club uniform and equipment from the clubhouse.

Working with Children Check (WWCC)

All members working with children or young people must hold a valid Working with Children Check (WWCC). This includes Age Managers and Nipper trainers.

  • โœ… Required for Nippers age managers & trainers

  • โœ… Free for volunteers in most states

Membership Eligibility

We follow SLSA Policy 6.16 regarding criminal convictions for community safety.

  • โœ… Applications without approval are invalid

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does membership cost?

Membership fees vary by age and category. Nippers start from $120/season, Youth from $150, Adults from $200. Fees include SLSA insurance and club registration. Family caps are available โ€” contact us for details.

Do I need to be a strong swimmer?

For active patrol duties, swimming proficiency is required. However, we have many non-swimming roles in administration, events, and support.

What time commitment is required?

Active lifesavers commit to 4-6 patrols per season (approx 20 hours). Nippers attend weekly sessions during the season (Oct-Apr).

When does the season start?

The official patrol season runs from October to April. Nippers program runs October to March. Training courses run year-round.

What's the process for new members?

Register online via the SLSA Hub, complete your swim proficiency assessment, get your uniform, and join training. It's that simple!

Do you accept Active Kids vouchers?

Yes! We accept NSW Active Kids vouchers for Nippers membership. Contact our Membership Officer for details.

Can I try before I join?
